Jesus asks us to show our love for God by helping others. In these and other ways, we strive to live up to our Vision for Jerusalem Western Salisbury: "To Welcome All People, Share Christ's Love for One Another, and Help to Make Christ Visible in Daily Life." Come be a part of it!
Other Collections: We collect grocery store coupons (which are sent to those in the military for help in PX shopping), Box Tops for Education (to benefit Willow Lane Elementary School), and Redner's Supermarket receipts (please do not cut tapes; the entire tape is needed for credit) to benefit our church camp fund. There are boxes in the Welcome Center to drop these items off any day of the week.
Ongoing Food Bank Collection: Please remember our monthly donation to the Food Bank is just a small way we can show our love and care for those less fortunate. The following contributions are welcome at any time (please leave in the food bank bin located in the Welcome Center):
- canned goods: soup, vegetables, fruit, tuna, beans, stew, chili, and spaghetti sauce
- dry/boxed items: pasta, rice, instant potatoes, scalloped potatoes, macaroni and cheese, cereal, flour, sugar
- quick meal mixes: hamburger, tuna, and chicken helper, flavored rice packets, chili mix, boxed pasta meals
- for children especially: peanut butter and jelly, dried fruit such as raisins and apricots, trail mixes, crackers, and cookies
Yearly Harvest Home Collection: Harvest celebration is held in September and is a time to honor, celebrate, and share in the bounty of local agriculture.
March 2020 - We are presently closed and do not have a Food Bank located at our church building. After we are allowed to open, we will be supporting the Allentown Ecumencial Food with items of canned goods, etc.
