The Camp Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that this year’s JWS Church Camp will be held from Sunday June 24 to Saturday June 30 at Group Camp #2, French Creek State Park, in Elverson, PA (near Birdsboro)
Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church Camp is: an intergenerational experience and a time to get away from the busyness of life in God's Creation; to learn more about the Bible, God and one another; and to enjoy Fun, Fellowship, Food and Friends in a natural environment. This year’s Church Camp Theme will be “The Water of Life.” All are welcome and we encourage visitors to come throughout the week. Here is a schedule: Sunday, June 24, arrival after 12:00 p.m., with an “Open House” in the afternoon, when we encourage you to come down and visit and see what camp is all about. We encourage you to stay for supper at 6:00 p.m. (bring a covered dish to share); Introduction to our theme of Water and Creation (Genesis 1: 1 – 2:2), closing evening vesper/campfire. Monday, June 25, Theme for the day: Jesus Baptism (Mark 1: 4-11). Tuesday, June 26, Trip to HersheyPark (Visitors are welcome to join us at the park!) Friday, June 29, Theme for the day: Psalm 23; Mission Project: Shop for items for the less fortunate (They need soup, macaroni and cheese, paper towels and toilet paper, if you would like to donate some) and deliver to the Salvation Army, Pottstown. Picnic Supper at 6:00 pm, Holy Communion Service, Evening Vesper with Sharing Our Prayer Partner Gifts, Performance/sing along around the campfire with The Cedar Routes Folk Group. Saturday, June 30, departure 9:00 a.m. If you are interested in helping with the mission projects or for more information or questions, please contact Joshua A. We look forward to this week away to experience God’s creation. For those who participate, it is an experience that won’t soon be forgotten.
